Home delivery of fresh or frozen nutritious meals to individuals who, because of age, illness or disability, cannot prepare adequate meals for themselves. Individuals remain in the comfort and familiarity of their home, avoiding the stress of moving to a facility.
Our funding partner is BC Ministry of Health for the Fraser Region, and we are supported through fees for service and fundraising donations.
“A. is loving his meal deliveries. Can be very difficult to convince him of anything requiring change, but this one, he is embracing! “ LH, client’s daughter
“Thank you very much for helping me stay in my home” PC, MOW client
“I am very grateful for Meals on Wheels and for the volunteers who deliver the meals, they are so kind.” GP, MOW client
As of January 1, 2026, Meals on Wheels will be changing food service contractors. Chilliwack Community Services is excited to announce that we have partnered with Ruth and Naomi’s (RAN). Beginning in the new year, all Meals on Wheels meals will be prepared in the Ruth and Naomi’s Interchange Kitchen.
Ruth and Naomi’s has been providing nutritious meals to community members in Chilliwack since 1995. Meals prepared by RAN will continue to be heart-healthy, delicious, and carefully designed to meet the needs of our senior clientele.
We understand that changes can take time to adjust to, and we appreciate your patience as we work closely with RAN to ensure a smooth transition and continued delivery of reliable, high-quality meals.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Elite Foods, who have provided excellent service and meals to our clients over the past three years.
Your feedback is very important to us. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments about this change, please contact the Meals on Wheels Program Coordinator.
