Current Volunteer Opportunities

  1.  The Better Beginnings program is looking for a volunteer dishwasher/kitchen assistant on Thursday mornings from 9am-12:30pm.  If you are looking for a way to support pregnant and newly postpartum families this may be a good fit for you.  We have a fabulous community of volunteers to connect with on a weekly basis.  The program is located at the Neighbourhood Learning Centre attached to Chilliwack Secondary School on Yale Rd.  Contact Lana at [email protected] for more information about this opportunity.
 
  1. The Better Beginnings perinatal support program is looking for a volunteer to join our childminding team on Thursday mornings from 9am-12:30pm. The ideal candidate would enjoys planning and delivering fun activities for young children to enjoy while their parents attend a prenatal support program.  The program takes place at the neighbourhood learning centre attached to Chilliwack Secondary School.  Contact Lana at [email protected] for more information about this opportunity.
     
  2. The Chilliwack Family Place network is looking to expand it’s volunteer teams at East Chilliwack Family Place (downtown on Thursday mornings), Greendale Family Place (Blue Heron Reserve on Wednesday mornings) and Mountainview Family Place (Sardis Library on Tuesday mornings).  The ideal candidate would enjoy working with families and young children.  The role includes setting up the family places, planning/delivering a craft activity, preparing snacks & most importantly playing!  This is a terrific community development role.  The successful applicant will work together with a team of dedicated volunteer to deliver family place programming.  Contact Lana at [email protected] for more information about this opportunity.
