Family Education Program provides ongoing groups throughout the year for parents and caregivers. Groups are intended to support healthy families and family relationships by offering psychoeducation and skills-building workshops. One-to-one support is offered to participants while in group. This program partners with multiple specialists in the community.
Our funding partner is the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). Referrals are open to the community, self, and MCFD/FVACFSS.
The Family Education Program presents a variety of engaging workshops that support a person in the role of parent and in being a person. Our workshops run year-round, occurring either once in a week, once a week for 3 weeks or once a week for 8 weeks. This weekly pace makes the material easy to learn and apply. We also offer the DARING Dads group, a year-round bi-weekly support group for Dad’s who want to build strong respectful attachment with their children.

There is also one-to-one support during or before participation in multi-week groups to enhance the learning experience. The Family Education Program partners with multiple specialists across the community to offer the timely, engaging, skills-building workshops and groups you need.
Our funding partner is the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). Referrals are accepted from any community agency, MCFD and Fraser Valley Aboriginal Child and Family Services Society, as well as self-referral. Please see the fillable referral form here.

Here are some ways you can sign up for one of our groups:
1. Fill in the referral form and email it to [email protected].
2. Contact your social worker at MCFD to put in a referral for you.
3. Contact the program coordinator, Steve Dove, at 604-792-6632 x 345 for more information.
Note: Please choose/tick ONE preferred service on the first page of the referral form. MCFD and FVACFSS referrals are given priority.
