Settlement services

Through information and referrals, assessments and action plans, immigrants and their families are helped to understand and successfully navigate BC's social and economic systems.

  • Information, referrals, support, and assistance to settle successfully in the community
  • Assistance completing forms and applications, eg. medical care card, driver license, social insurance number, citizenship, passport
  • Orientation sessions on topics including housing, health care, education, banking, recreation, and leisure activities
  • Workshops: Computer skills, citizenship, and driving test preparation
  • Field trips to local community amenities, including library, health, education, recreation, and cultural facilities
  • Job search
  • Interpretation and translation services available in more than fifteen languages
