Family Services

Contracted services with the Ministry for Child & Family Development to provide group, one-on-one, counseling and in- home support to families and children in order to stabilize and preserve the family unit.

Family Outreach Counselling
Counsellor will aid clients in identifying and understanding personal/family problems, and in establishing and reaching realistic goals to address a family crisis for up to 5 months when referred by the Ministry for Child & Family Development.

Family Therapy
Counselling for relationship or individual difficulties referred by the Ministry for Children and Family Development. Counsellor provides support and encouragement of alternate coping mechanisms are stressed.

Foster Support Service
One-on-one service to children and ongoing support program for Parent Counsellors with the goal of stabilizing children referred by the Ministry for Child & Family Development in order to unite them with their families or facilitate their long- term foster care.

Sexual Assault Counselling
Support for children and their families who are dealing with the impact of sexual assault. Support, advocacy and assessment services to children and non-offending family members.

Parenting Without Power Struggles
A facilitated group for parents with preteens and teens 10-15. This is a 10 week program designed to strengthen families by providing information, strategies and support to parents.

Nurturing Fathers
A support group "just for Dads" to get information and to gain new skills.

Families First
A group suppport program for parents or caregivers with children ages 0 to 12 years to better cope with the challenges of parenting through instruction, parent/child interaction, peer support, socialization, in-home support, and linking them with other appropriate programs in the community.

Nobody's Perfect
Six weekly group sessions for parents of children ages 0 to 5. Learn new skills to help in parenting and feeling good about your children and your parenting.
