Business Certificate Program

Our Business Certificate Program enables adult learners to earn their Adult Business Certificate or their Adult Dogwood. This support-intensive program is set up for success, providing opportunities for one-on-one collaboration with high rates of graduation.

This is a program funded by the Province of British Columbia and is a partnership between Chilliwack Community Services, the Chilliwack School District (Sardis Secondary School), Stó:lō Aboriginal Employment and Training (SASET), The Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce, Agassiz Harrison Community Services, and Hope Community Services.

Information

The Business Certificate Program is for people who are interested in careers in the areas of office administration, finance, and business, and who meet the criteria.  The program offers the ability for non-graduated adults to obtain their B.C. Adult Dogwood and the capacity to learn business skills and highly utilized business software such as MS Office and Sage Accounting. The program also supports students with employment search skills and tools to obtain and maintain employment. The program includes business education, employment services, transportation, childcare subsidy, an attendance and training allowance, extra learning supports, and access to counselling and other supports.  The criteria of this program is individuals who have faced barriers to success, are unemployed or precariously employed, specifically those who are survivors of emotional, sexual, or economic abuse, violence, stalking, threats, or bullying.”

– To provide employment services and opportunities

– Child care subsidy provided
– Transportation assisted
– Learning supports
– Counselling/therapy offered
– $100 training allowance
